Women and men experience different types of hair loss. For men, most hair loss occurs in a pattern that slowly expands from the hairline at the front of the head to the crown or top of the head, eventually leaving a ring of hair that’s not affected by hair loss around the back fo the head. This hair loss pattern is called male pattern baldness.
For women, hair loss typically does not occur in such predictable patterns. Most women experience hair loss in terms of generally thinning hair. This requires a different approach to hair transplants for women.
