Depending on your body type, aesthetic goals, and your surgeon’s preferences, you may choose to undergo a mini-thigh lift or a full thigh lift.
A mini-thigh lift involves a smaller incision that only affects your groin area. It is performed to improve the look and feel of the skin in your inner thighs. A full thigh lift involves an incision from your groin around to the fold that separates your buttocks and the back of the thigh. Additionally, and depending on how loose your skin is, an incision from the groin down the inner thigh is necessary. This procedure will improve the look and feel of your entire thighs.

Following a thigh lift, your recovery time will depend on your body and the extent of the procedure. Most women will have soreness and discomfort for a few days following the procedure—which (as recommended by your doctor) can be managed with pain medication, heat/cold compresses, and rest.
Your doctor will give you specific recommendations, but, in general, we recommend that you avoid heavy lifting and physically stressful activities for the next 4–6 weeks. Some bruising will be normal as you heal, but that should go away within a couple of weeks. Your incisions will gradually fade and flatten as you continue to heal as well.
